Soft jaws must match the chuck’s serration type, slot width and centre hole distance (CHD). If you are unsure which model is required, provide the chuck make and model so Dimac can confirm compatibility and recommend the most suitable soft jaws for your application.
1045 carbon steel is the standard choice for general machining. 6061 aluminium is better suited to softer or finished parts where marking must be avoided.
Yes. Dimac can modify standard cross tenon jaws to suit specific applications, including pointing, rough boring, reduced size, additional mounting bores, weight reduction and flame hardening.
