Indexing Chucks
Index Chucks offer a unique and effective way to machine components on several faces in one set-up. The workpeice can be indexed while the spindle is running to present a new face for machining. Very high repeatability can be achieved as the part does not require re-chucking between each operation. Valve bodies and fittings are just some of the popular applications. Manual index chucks are also available for smaller volume applications.
MD Chucks from model 205 to 425 are made in a single steel piece case hardened and tempered at 60 HRC. For manufacturing requirements models MD500 and 550 are assembled using pins and screws. Sizes are indicative and subject to variation for technical improvement.
