Collet Jaws
If you frequently use a 3 jaw power chuck and have a need to change set ups several times a day then you should consider using a set of Dimac Collet Jaws. Based on an industry standard Collet Pad, the system allows a CNC lathe operator to change between bar sizes (Round, Hex and Square) in less than a minute. When compared to changing Hard Jaws or Soft Jaws, that can take up to 10 minutes, the savings add up very quickly. The base jaw carrier stays in place on the chuck and and only the collet jaws are changed to suit material sizes.
